Tachyon Dreams III: The Rancid Buttermilk from Andromeda
A downloadable game for Windows
Tachyon Dreams III: The Rancid Buttermilk from Andromeda is the grand finale to the sci-fi comedy Tachyon Dreams text-parser trilogy! In his third adventure, Dodger explores a barren world, travels back in time to relive past moments, and then journeys to a dark forest on the edge of the cosmos. It is time to finally discover the fabled worlds of the Margdonians, which the greedy Tgorodians have searched for all this time.
This is the exciting third and last chapter in a series of short sci-fi comedic text-parser adventure games with EGA graphics that look and feel very much like the mid/late 80's adventure games by Sierra. Think early Space Quest games. Think AGI. Average first playthrough length: 60-75 minutes.

I thought this game was supposed to be less Sierra, but I am stuck watching the cashier at the movie theater and cannot for the life of me figure what I am supposed to do.
Hey! There is no cashier in Tachyon Dreams III. You might be referring to Tachyon Dreams Anthology.
Spoilers ahead.
Have you talked to the attendant? Is his head floating? He says something about needing a kiss. You can't quite reach him because his head is in the air, but perhaps there is another way you can kiss someone from afar?
Ah. Right. Derp. It's obvious now. And yes, I was referring to the anthology.
The latest installment in the series. It features a very emotional journey and conclusion. For me, it's the game that was the most challenging to start, but after that, it was non-stop until completion. A bit longer than the previous ones and with a few puzzles that resist a bit. It introduces a couple of new, well-crafted animations that I loved so much.
Keep the good work and I hope you'd win the Indie dev of the year award!
Thanks! The climbing animations were made by Joker who's indeed brilliant!
The style looks great and reminiscent of those classics. I will give this a try! Can I start with III or am I missing too much context?
You sure can! The intro will fill you in. :)
Any advice on what to do with the crystal, glue, and rope?
I've been meaning to play this for a while now. It was a satisfying conclusion to the first two. And reminds me of an old guy I knew that tried to sell me on buttermilk as a hangover cure. Thanks for making this series!
Thanks so much! Hope you didn't follow that guy's advice haha.
Great series, I was stuck for a while at the beginning and at the forest. It took me 2 hours but I finished it. Thanks for these games :D
Very glad you enjoyed the game! :)
Thanks for this part iii. Little to short but very fun to play through! Well done again!!
Cheers, glad you found it to be fun! :)
I see, it is even EGA. Very exciting retro title!! Reminds retro quests, like Space Quest! Today there is no such kind of games.
Definitely inspired by the first two Space Quest games! :)
Great! Tachyon Dreams III, I love this series!!
Thank you! Hope to release it next week!
Awesome!
Thanks! :)
